| Basic Character Information: Name: Arashi Wu Age: 18 Gender: Male Looks:Arashi is an easily identifiable individual. A tall pale skinned young man with handsome features and prominent, almost patented, green hair. A lean muscular form betrays his years of vigorous martial training and the obvious pale blue arrow tattoos on his limbs and peeking out from the verdant hairline, alert those in the know of his status as a master airbender. Like most airbenders, Arashi has a tendency towards comfortable robe like clothing and long swaths of cloth wrapped around himself as accessories. Most often he strays from the norm by wearing white and various hues of blue as opposed to the vibrant yellows and oranges of mot airbenders.v Even more abnormal, when he ventres out into the world with the intent to do harm or other serious work on behalf of his people, he dons black clothing. A closer look at his nude body would reveal a profound lack of blemishes or long healed injuries which belies the truth to the fact that he has sustained no critical injuries in his time walking and gliding around the earth. Perhaps more startling however is the fact that his warm brown eyes are not clouded with self doubt or guilt or any sort of forlorn emotion despite his divergence from the usual spirituality of the Air Nation. Personality:For the most part, Arashi isn't much like most airbenders. Sure he likes to enjoy life and laugh and experience new things, but over the years he has been trained in self discipline in an attempt to tame the boisterous exuberance he once possessed. This has manifested in the form of a more tamed curiosity and philosophical outlook on life. He now has a tendency to get wrapped up in contemplating the universe as it operates around him in an endless endeavor to discover the inner machinations of the world. Of course being cooped up in a temple for most of his life doesn't make that easy so an insatiable sense of wanderlust gnaws at his mind these days urging him to go and explore the world. Arashi wants to meet new people, see the other types of bending in action, try new foods, see exotic animals, and maybe find love out in the world. At least that's how he is when he's allowed or rather supposed to be wearing what he likes to think of as his mask for the others. Arashi has been trained to be able to suppress his feelings and transform into a cold analytic beast willing to do whatever is necessary for the Air Nation. When tapped to do his duty for the air people's Arashi dons black attire and a much more serious no nonsense expression. Now of course this odd dichotomy would seem antithesis to the spiritual enlightenment that the Air nation usually endeavors to achieve but part of this belief structure is that there is balance. Yin and Yang, opposites that most both exist in order to achieve harmony and perfect flow in the universe. Following this belief, monks helped Arashi to develop his philosophy an understanding to be a balanced being with both kindhearted traits and cruel merciless actions from time to time. When he dons his black cloaks, he becomes the Air Nation's spearhead, lethal and cold and unwavering. He is less hung up on moral quandary than most of his countrymen. He is much more focused on how things truly are, for he does not paint the world in black and white with things etched so finely and permanently in stones. His mentality is that of the air, all encompassing and shifting as it needs to move forward, never being trapped and hung up for long. Name:Endless breath Nation:Air Description:Residents of the air nation have large lung capacities and are able to hold their breath for extremely long times. They can breath in rough weather like sandstorms smoke and ash, and are very good and holding their breath.
Name:Perfect Aim Nation:Air Description:Residents of the air nation have extremely accurate aim, they can locate and pin point things quickly and accurately, and almost never miss their target. They are the best marksmen out there.
Name: Storm Chi Range: Personal Description: Since he was young, Arashi has always been a tad more hyperactive than even other air nation children and has had exceptional stamina and volatile potency to his airbending, the reason being that he generates a vast wealth of chi and that chi is rather powerful. This chi allows him to bend for longer periods of time than most benders and it also makes his airbending more forceful than normal.
Name: Swallow Style Range: Personal Description: A self created fighting style. It takes elements of air bending's very circular, graceful motions and combines them with the explosive motions more often seen with firebending but even beyond that, it blends a more mundane and much deadlier element. Arashi wields throwing weapons (usually small daggers and shurikens) and using airbending he can manipulate those weapons on the wind akin to a flock of swallows or leaves on the wind. Combined with his impeccable marksmanship and using principles basic airbending martial art principles, he can transform a small blade into a bullet that could penetrate stone.
The style also makes him exceptionally fast and gives him greater reflexes than even other airbenders and requires him to have a strong sense of equilibrium. As such he is more adept at dodging attacks than he is at taking them head on much like most airbenders.
Name: SCIENCE CRAFTER! Range: Personal Description: Arashi has a secret love of science that isn't all that secret to be honest. So over the years he's taught himself quite a lot about the subject and has spent what meager funds come his direction on this hobby and interest. Essentially what it boils down to is that Arashi is a craftsman and can create items of all sorts of types and even knows his way around a black smith's forge quite well. His dream is to acquire a Satomobile and disassemble the wondrously engineered device then put it back together, and he is quite capable of accomplishing such a feat. He is also quite a bit smarter than he might let on sometimes.

Name: Sky Current Rank: Soldier + Element: Air Range: 0-75m Description: With constant motions of their arms, the airbender forms a consistent stream of wind allowing them to manipulate the air or something caught in the stream for an extended period of time
Name: Cyclic Sphere Rank: Soldier + Element: Air Range: 0-30m Description: The airbender forms a dome or sphere of violently spinning wind around themselves, then expands it outwards rapidly. This maneuver can be used defensively to block and repel incoming attacks or offensively to repel opponents or objects that could collide with those nearby. If thrown by the wind, a person could be knocked out if they hit another object
Name: Air Blast Rank: Recruit+ Element: Air Range: 0-75m based on rank Description: The most basic of Airbending techniques, the user forms a compressed burst of air that increases in power and functionality as the uwser's rank increases.
Name: Horizontal Hurricane Rank: General + Element: Air Range: 0-75 meters Description: This powerful and difficult technique is formed by creating a violently swirling cyclone, however the difficulty arises in the fact that it is formed and directed straight at a target creating devastating damage. The wind is powerful enough to tear into targets and pull them apart and in so doing, the created shrapnel forms a grinding, ripping, drill-like action which increases the lethallity and destructive capability of the attack. Perhaps one of the ultimate Airbending techniques reserved specifically for the most dire of situations.
Name: Tornado Rank: Captain + Element: Air Range: up to 40 meters from point of origin Description: One of the quintessential techniques of an Airbender, the user uses broad strokes and motions to create great momentum, culminating in a cyclonic column of wind capable of drawing things towards it and causing quite a bit of destruction as it moves around. If centered on an object, it can lift even heavy objects into the air buffetting them around and can wind up dropping them from a great height.
Novice users of the technique often have difficulty controlling it's motions or maintaining the strucure of the technique for extended periods.
Name: Air Jump Rank: Recruit+ Element: Air Range: Personal (10 meters-75 meters) Description: A basic skill all airbenders know as highly mobile and agile individuals. The user can jump incredible distances horizontally or vertically. Essentially the user propels themselves with a burst of wind allowing them to cover several tens of meters by the time they become a master.
Name: Forward Momentum Rank: Soldier + Element: Air Range: Personal Description: The user reduces the air friction and pressure in front of themselves and simultaneously pushes themselves forward with focused air allowing them to greatly increase their speed. Arashi using this skill can increase his sprinting speed to around 60 mph. Additionally this skill can be used to allow the airbender to traverse vertical walls of up to 60 feet. Skilled users can even run horizontally on a wall, seemingly defying gravity for a while.
Name: Flight Rank: General Element: Air Range: Personal Description: Monopolizng upon his baggy clothing style, Arashi can do the same as most airbenders and fly through the air, however he does so without a glider , enveloping himself in the winds he generates. His clothes function similar to a parachute, catching the air alowing him to propel himself through the air.
His flight can reach speeds of 45 mph.
Name: Wind Wheel Rank: Captain Element: Air Range: Personal Description: A more grown up version of the Air scooter, the user creates a loop of wind vertically around themselves and rides the current around at rapid speeds reaching 40 mph. The cyclic stram of wind is also potent enough to 'cut' through bariers and obstructions in the way and can act as a slight shield against things that collide with it.
It is not the fastest of mobile techniques possessed by the airbenders but it has more offesnive and versatile uses than several of them making it still quite the viable maneuver.
Name: Air Spout Rank: Captain Element: Air Range: Personal, can reaches Heights up to 75meters depending on rank Description: Creating a controlled tight tornado of wind around themselves, the airbender can levitate themselves into the air and hover. Controlling the cyclone, the user can move around, though not very quickly at all. Mostly it is used to give the user the high ground or to reach elevated locations.
Name: Air Sickle Rank: General Element: Air Range: up to 50 meters depending on rank (Arashi can use it out to 30 meters) Description: One of the most dangerous and lethal Airbending techniques reserved for the masters who know how to use it most responsibly.
The user forms a crescent shaped blade of compressed air capable of slicing through even tough materials the likes of metal or chipping deep gouges into solid rock. It has enough power to cut through earthen barriers of up to one rank beneath the user.
Name: Air Lance Rank: General Element: Air Range: Up to 60 meters based on rank (Arashi can fire the technique out ot 40 meters) Description: Another dangerous and lethal Airbending skill reserved for those that can make the moral decisions on when to use it.
The user forms a compressed spear of air capable of puncturing thinner sheets of metal and piercing through trees.
Name: Air Cushion Rank: Recruit + Element: Air Range: 15 meters Description: The user forms a rotating pocket of air capable of cushioning the fall of themselves or someone within range. It can reduce the severity of a fall greatly
Name: Sound of Silence Rank: Captain + Element: Sound Range: Personal Description: Arashi using his abilty to effect sound with his bending steadies the vibrations produced by himself when he moves, causing him to become liek a hantom moving through the world almost without a trace while he uses this skill. Arashi can initiate this technique and cause it to last up to 3 posts, however bending of any offensive sort during this time will cancel the technique however he can use airbending to move while under the silencing effect.
Currently, he is working at extending the technique ot cover an area or to encompass another individual from a distance.
Name: Amplify Rank: Captain + Element: Sound Range: up to 30 meters, however the sound produced can extend for quite some distance. Description: The most basic of Soundbending skills, often called loudbending, the user amplifies an existing noise or one they generate all the way to deafening levels. The sound can range from the buzz of a fly's wings being made loud enough for a room to hear to a scream being made loud enough to be heard a mile away.
Name: Insidious Rhythm Rank: General Element: Sound Range: up to 20 meters Description: The soundbender creates an annoying and catchy tune (usually a whistle) and then forms it into a constant loop and wraps that loop around a target or a group and makes the tune repeat on end distracting the victim and possibly if performed long enough, driving them insane.
Name: Whispering Winds Rank: General Element: Sound Range: up to double the user's ranks maximum range Description: by combining air and sound bending, the airbender places their words on a breeze and can then move that breeze around allowing them to extend their speaking range, literally throwing their voice and in so doing they can keep their words private and send them to specific locations so that only a few might hear.
Name: Unbalancing Whistle Rank: General Element: Sound Range: up to 65 meters based on rank Description: The user produces a loud very piercing whistle that has the ability to cause a victims ears to bleed. The true purpose howeer is to upset the inner workings of the ear that allow a human beng to maintain balance.
After hearing this noise, the victim's vision will usually go a tad blurry, before they find themselves having extreme trouble staying upright and discerning which way upright even is. Lower ranked victims often fall to the ground almost completely disabled while higher ranked individuals usually stagger around as if on a very rough sea trying to maintain standing. Most benders or warriors find it difficult to to wield their weapons or elements while so impaired.
The effect lasts for about 4 posts.

Name: Gentle Step Specialty: Tracker Ability: the way of walking that Arashi has perfected makes tracking his footsteps nearly impossible, as he hardly produces footfalls at all. Even acutely aware earthbenders find it difficult to keep track of his steps when they alight upon the earth. Further he is able to stand upon things that usually could not bear the weight of a grown man, such as flimsy tree limbs or knives embedded in walls.
Name: Practical Invisibility Specialty: Tracker Ability: With his gentle and virtually trackless steps and incredible awareness of his surroundings, Arashi can become practically invisible, moving and hiding with supreme stealth becoming nearly impossible to detect. His talents in airbending keep his scent and the sounds he makes clsoe to his body so often the only way to know he is around is to lay eyes on him, which can also prove difficult.
Name: Disappearance Specialty: Tracker Ability: Arashi can move with such incredible speed that he can seemingly disappear in the blink of an eye, moving to cover. Often such disappearing is accompanied by a swirl of leaves or a puff of dust or smoke, distracting those few onlookers.
Name: Directed Disturbance Specialty: Tracker Ability: A gifted tracker and assassin, Arashi is aware that sometimes the greatest possible weapon is surprise and a wide open opponent and soemtimes he has to orchestrate his own surprises and openings. In order to facilitate this he has learned how to create chaotic distractions from stampedes of animals, a burst of a smoke ball, a scuffle between allies caused by a simple pebble. Essentially this is his ability to use the environment to his advantage and use it as a weapon in and of itself, making his surroundings work for him.
Name: Eagle Eyed Specialty: Tracker Ability: As an airbender, Arashi is frequently in the air and thusly he has had to develop the ability to garner knowledge from some distance and he can thusly see and discern things from quite a ways and even further as a user of ranged weaponry, he can hit his target from an extended distance such as pinnign a fly to a wall with a throwing knife without killng it. Essentially he has very acute eyesight and fantastic hand-eye coordination to back it up.
Using these two things he can identify the trail of his prey from the air and even accost it into a trap from that distance if need be.
Name: Bloodletting Specialty: Tracker Ability: Using precision attacks with his throwing weapons, Arashi can strike a superficial vein or artery on a target, causing them to bleed profusely and should that victim attempt to run, the dripping blood can create a trail for him to follow.
Name: Separate Memory Trance Specialty: Tracker Ability: After achieving a meditative state, Arashi can achieve a trance like state in which he can acquire new, and perhaps detrimental memories, and then those thoughts or memories will be locked away until he accesses them through meditation again to perhaps work through them or to lock them further in his subconscious. It is almost akin to awakening a second personality as memories shape who a person truly is. This second personality is usually quite merciless and willing to do just about any violent thing.
If he falls asleep while under the trance, when he awakens, the trance will have ended and he will be back to his default self.
Name: Senses on the Wind Specialty: Tracker Ability: Subtly drawing air to himself, Arashi pulls scents and sounds, no matter how subtle, on the air allowing him to extend the range of his senses. he does this subconsciously and the slight flow of air is rather difficult to notice. Presumably, the tumultuous chi inside of him is expelled causing this effect and the years of self discipline draws the energy back his direction.
Pet/Animal:Type:Name:Species:Element:Appearance:Description:Special Abilities:Origin:Weapons:Name: Golden Swallow Knives and Shurikens Appearance: Gold and silver bladed throwing impliments with graceful curves and aerodynamic holes. Range: 60 meters with any real accuracy (using Airbending) can be thrown regularly up to 20 meters. Rank: General? Special Abilities: These throwing weapons are excellent for being manipulated by the likes of Airbending by wrapping tendrils of air around them and can be made to spin and move even faster than their normal aerodynamics would seem to allow. Using Airbending, the projectiles can be made to remain in the air for extedned periods of time and then the blades can be used for both offensie and defense, able to deflect some attacks. The intricate forging method and special metal that comprises them allows Arashi to use his soundbending abilities to manipulate them further by adding strong vibrations to the items which turn them into tiny drilling and buzzsawing projectiles that even after sticking into their target, can be made to wiggle even further inwards to shatter or cause more pain. For example by impaling a a thick wooden door with several of the throwing knives then bringing a vibration to them, they can be used to crack the door apart, a feat usually not possible with air bending alone, wind blades not withstanding. The blades were forged at such high temperatures that the impurities have been burned out of them, making them immune to metal bending. While the samurai stepped to the side of the room and took on a more relaxed pose, clearly aiming for a more meditative state to begin, the blond teen began stretching, taking the opposite approach. Where Shi seemed to aim to be more still, Adam was more apt to get the more vigorous exercises out of his system and end his workout by winding down into a meditative state. It was the most pragmatic option he had found because the more active motions of his workout allowed him to slowly devote more of his thoughts onto what his body was doing and how everything around him was operating which were far more tame thoughts than ones about string theory, philosophies about morality, how to end world struggles, technologies light years beyond those the masses had at their disposal, the failures he could have prevented had he acted, and the like.
Standing up straight and wiggling his extremities he waited for Shi's response, content to let his teammate find the words and decide what he wanted to reveal. Deciding to start with his balance, the teenage hero leaned forward and with a spin, performed a motion reminiscent of a break dance move on his hands, rotating on a handstand, spinning around and winding up balanced perpendicular to the ground on one hand and after a few seconds he raised himself onto a singular finger and balanced that way for a few moments until Shi spoke again.
"It's relatively fine, Ryurou-san. Everyone is 'slow' to me so there is no need to apologize. I much prefer the thoughtful people to those who let words tumble out of their mouths before they've fully formed a thought. But regardless, I think I have the time to hear both stories if you have the time to murder the moments anyhow," Adam replied with an upside down grin as he tumbled back to his feet only to have the moment put on pause as the two women from before made their way into the room.
"Oi vey... Well I suppose you'll need to hold onto your story for another few minutes while this inane conversation continues it seems," he informed the other man as the darker haired of the two made her way up to him, the unmistakable scent of beer wafting off of her.
However before she spoke, it was the doctor who decided to blow off steam first.
"And so it would seem my more subtle advice was lost on you the first time. I prefaced my explanation to you by saying that you were not beyond the point in your life where someone should be there to tell you and offer you advice as to how to use your abilities. It would be relatively outlandish to think you were seeing as you've been superhuman for all of a week. The vast majority of the OCEAN Operatives here have been living with and mastering our varied abilities for years. Decades in a few cases. Your life is back in its stages of infancy, doctor. It is doctor, correct? Regardless. You've erred and exceptionally so because what you made was and still is dangerous and you, specifically you, need to fix it. Well at least if you expect anyone to respect you in the future. You have the tools and time at your disposal and you've been wasting opportunity in the week. Most people who would fall into this sort of situation would declare vengeance or vow to right their mistake and yet here you stand with that sort of power at your literal fingertips and on the tip of your tongue and yet you're sitting in the Philippines crying about it and licking your wounds instead. You claim no one knew so that is perhaps the first place you should start. You call yourself a scientist and arguably you are one, simply one with low moral standards and ethical sinkholes in your decision making. So why aren't you trying to solve a personal mystery? If your project was so fucking secret, then how did someone find out? And going even further your statement is incorrect. 'People' do not need to worry about what they're going to do with the serum. YOU specifically need to think about that. This is your mess to clean up. I'm not going to do it for you and no one else should either. If you want to help the world so badly, why not start with yourself and your creations?" the youthful CEO responded, stepping around the Black Angel in order to get a better look at the meek doctor who stood in front of him.
He hoped this time she got the point because he was trying to impress upon her that anything that came of her serum was her responsibility and the only one to blame would be her in the long run.
"Also, you should care who I am. Or did I not make it clear that you are a port of a team now. One I happen to hold membership in which means that you are a loose reflection on me and I can't speak for everyone on the team but I happen to give a damn about a reputation. Also with almost no effort whatsoever, I could possibly find out that through some way, you formerly worked for me on my dime, which means if you did, you'd be talking to the man you've been stealing from to fund "your life's work". Now I'm not saying I am necessarily but there's a pretty damn good chance in all honesty." the boy said with a pointed lifting of his eyebrows.
Turning back around, decidedly done with the discussion over Triscari's screw ups and morally dark gray decision making, he found himself facing Angel once more only to find that her beer addled anger wasn't something she was very good at controlling. Struggling to not roll his eyes prior to his rebuttal, the blond drew in a breath before beginning:
"I suppose I'll go from the top down with your argument here, Angel correct? Reading the file about me will give you very little information about me, mostly because I wrote it myself and have yet to expand on it very much at all since I've been at this compound for almost 48 hours now and have little reason to divulge every aspect of myself or my abilities as of yet. That tidbit is correct ,however. I am made of much tougher stuff than the average human being. The vast majority of swords even when wielded by the likes of yourself, hold little chance of injuring me massively."
To exacerbate his point, the adolescent doppleganger made his way to the same rack and picked up a similar sword to the one the assassin had picked out and with a swift promise to pay Sai back later, he unsheathed the blade and expertly twirled it through the air much as she had before bringing the blade to a quivering halt. Then without warning, promptly snapped the the sword clean in two like a child does a twig, metal shards glittering briefly through the air and spine tingling cry of stressed metal seconds before a sharp snap rang out.
"Now that being said, you're still incorrect on several other matters. Specifically ones that are far more critical than my capabilities. We are not here because we've 'done things'. We are each and every one of us here, because Saileyra saw something in each of us that she believes can make a difference and save the future of our planet and race. In the time she comes from, if you were unaware, we're extinct and our planet is a cold lifeless hunk of rocks and water floating through space. We're here because we have the capacity and power to prevent that from occurring, not because our lives were hard. Secondly, please in the future refrain from speaking to me about experience. I might look 17, mostly because I am, but I've got more experiences under my belt than most 90 year old people who've had to fight in wars. I've been to every continent and saved several millions of people's lives on several occasions. Making mistakes is not the only way that people learn and gain experience. I've got plenty of mistakes under my belt that I could bring up but I'm not a dog. I can learn in other ways and I don't want to trudge through memories of things I've analyzed from every angle and extracted every aspect and lesson from. Further, you're an idiot. Ethics is everything. I'm sorry if you're too jaded to have a moral compass that can pick a direction to point you in at this point in your life, but the simple difference between right and wrong and being able to choose the best possible option that can do the greatest amount of good is what separates us from the criminals we pit ourselves against. And I apologize to you for something I thought and said earlier, Angel. It seems not everyone here is as well put together as I thought they were. I had assumed that I was joining a group of individuals who didn't need handlers and teachers to inform them about how we should be using our abilities in order to be better than the villains we face. We might be willing to put a bullet in someone's brain but we're supposed to be doing it in the name of righteousness without losing sight of that and devolving into inhumane zealots who are essentially criminals and serial killers themselves."
Squaring his shoulders he shifted on his feet, standing taller and focusing more of himself on the Black Angel, his eyes picking her apart as he continued, noting the way her hair hung about her face, how skepticism and incredulity and wrath coursed through her eyes, and what may have been a hint of shame. How she held the sword like someone not unaccustomed to its weight and lethality. The way she stood as if poised to leap at him and attack him anyway despite every reason in the world not to. The woman who stood in front of him was a simple assassin. A tool. A knife blade and what upset him about her was the fact that she seemed to be fooling herself into thinking she could be better than what she had been but she had yet to evolve past a simple tool to be wielded against someone else's enemies. She stood in front of all of them with the gumption to spout words as if she had actually thought about the things she was going on about but the fact of the matter stood out that she was so short sighted that her philosphies came off as idiosyncrasies tailored more towards recovering murderers struggling with who they had been abnd who they wanted to be. Sad truth though, was that Adam realized that if she showed any actual potential to become a better person, he would've felt pity for her but since she didn't as far as he could see for the moment, all he had was contempt for her.
"Now you're standing in front of me trying to say you have some sort of understanding of 'power' but you clearly don't. Any person can wield a sword and any person can shove that blade into the guts of someone else. That isn't power. It's an exercise of self control, which surprises me because you've shown a profound lack of any throughout most of your tirade. What power really is, is simply the ability to exercise some sort of control and influence over the world around us. But the unfortunate difference here is that your brand of power is a knife blade. SHort and close and precise. My brand is that of entire armies, broad reaching and able to decimate entire planets. You point your sword at one person and cut them down. I open my mouth and issue orders and watch entire countries drop off of maps. I exercise self control with every motion of my body and word from my lips. Do you understand that? I can accidentally throw a car with the flick of my wrist. If I say the right combination of words, I could blow the white house to smithereens. A few waves of my hand and I can turn off the entirety of the financial world. That's not an exaggeration either, I could do that right now. You say you can stop me but you don't even know me or what I'm capable of. You say there are ways you could stop me that I can't imagine.
