Prelude - A world without evil Koi_by_gladly

"The world is in an ever constant motion, always shifting and changing as time passes. This also occurs in humanity, changing and shifting in ways that are always either subtle or profound. In order to survive one must be constantly ready to adapt and prepared in case adaptation is not possible. The struggle to survive has been a plague upon humanity ever since they stepped upon the planet. It was inevitable that somewhere along the line the strong destroyed the weak. By that logic, those who are strong should just go ahead and remove the weakest in the chain. After all, they are nothing but parasites that feast upon what is rightfully the strongest's. Nothing more than insects to be squashed, insects who simply destroy the crops that humanity needs to survive. Though comparing the weak to insects, and then comparing the insects to parasites was innately foolish. After all, it is the bugs that spread the pollen, and with that comes the growing of crops .A key factor in the survival of mankind. Based upon that logic it is an obvious conclusion that the weak are required for mankind to survive. Whether or not a person believed in philosophy, it is evident that the weak deserve to live. However where the weak reside, the strong choose to prey upon them. It is up to the good people of the world to stop this. It is a moral obligation that must be carried out. All evil must be destroyed so that the greater good can prosper. To deny evil is also wrong, because that is an intervention in the natural process of the human psyche. To erase evil is to erase a form of perception, to erase a form of perception is to deny free will, denying freewill is an act of a god. To attempt such a thing is simply conceited. No one person had the right to decide what was evil and what was not, it was up to the world. Oddly enough that changes with time, as everything does. It becomes hard to decide on what to do and how to go about punishing those who are evil. However dealing punishment is also a punishment in of itself. To do so any sane person sacrifices the sanctity of their soul. Also by deciding to destroy evil one must also be willing to kill millions. Evil is an idea, not a single entity, and thus neigh impossible to eliminate. It must be maintained, the world must be maintained. Everything must be watched to that peace is everlasting. For all life is precious and everything deserves to live..even the existence of evil."

...end thought process.

Saito sat within the central region of the garden, surrounded by the flora and fauna of the place. All of the scents and sounds tended to make one forget. It was definitely the best place to be when trying to get away from the world. It seemed that all of the problems weighed solely upon him, that only his mind could allow the openness required to accept all things, all people. Sitting upon the soft green grass in front of the cool clear pond, Saito would open his eyes and gaze intently at the golden fish that swam about, the sun shining down upon him. The trees catching in the wind, sending sakura blossoms about the area, some hitting the surface of the water. What peace it must bring to know that your home was constantly safe, that nothing could disturb you there. Saito envied the ease of the fish's life. He sought to end all strife, to evoke the Air Nomad way of life upon the world. It would require much work, and there was little time to start. Saito still wondered if what he was attempting to do was the right path, after all forcing a lifestyle upon the world was not exactly the morally correct thing to do. Adjusting his sitting position on the grass for a more comfortable one he would wait for his most esteemed colleague. Avatar Jin-sang would know, after all the man had always been there for him to answer his most philosophical questions. Jin-sang was the only man Saito particularly trusted. As Saito waited his eyes would close and his mind would cease to exist as his thoughts carried upon the wind, feeling with his emotions as his seed was carried to the expanses of the world, his breathing slow and controlled, in through the nose and slowly out of the mouth.

PostSubject: Re: Prelude - A world without evil   Prelude - A world without evil EmptyFri Apr 20, 2012 8:35 pm

Jin-Sang awoke in his room with a nice warm breeze coming in through his four windows. The nice warm weather soothed him in his sleep. Jin-Sang wanted to get ready kind of quickly and get down to the gardens because he wanted to see one of his good friends. Jin-Sang grabbed his wraps that would act as a shirt, and the wrap for her pants that would act as a belt. He decided to go without shoes today just since he would be going to the meditation gardens. Jin-Sang walked down from the tower that he lived in with other Monks in the Eastern Air Temple and said hello to everyone of them as he passed by. A few of them he stopped and had a small chat with besides just the casual hello. Then when he got outside of the tower, he headed straight for the gardens.

The gardens were the most beautiful thing in the world to Jin-Sang and just could never explain in words how beautiful it could be. The trees, flowers, streams, and ponds were placed so that everyone's chi would flow outwards from the meditation gardens and away from the nomad that was finding inner peace. Jin-Sang did not have to walk far to know where Saito would be. Saito was meditating in a comfortable position when Jin-Sang found him. Jin-Sang walked forward and sat with his legs crossed in front of him. He had his back straight up and placed his hands on knees and looked into Saito's eyes ready to discuss business in the Air Temples in whole.

PostSubject: Re: Prelude - A world without evil   Prelude - A world without evil EmptyFri Apr 20, 2012 9:46 pm

"There are events that one simply cannot control no matter how hard they try. It is inevitable that even the powerful struggle against events that are beyond them. With that in mind it leads to the understanding that responsibilities of magnitude cannot be handled alone. As a leader of people, It is up to me to come up with the solution. "

Saito's thoughts would pause momentarily as he heard the sound of another approaching. He was unafraid of the occurrence, deeply calm inside the gardens of his own nation. Though Saito did not so easily lower his guard, for he recognized the sound of the Avatar's footsteps. The biometric signature easily identifiable from that of others. Jin-Sang was a good friend, and Saito paid much attention to friends. Saito would keep his eyes closed until the man took a seat in front of him. During the idle moments Saito would take the time to gather his thoughts. Surrounded by the serenity of the garden it was hard to focus. The only thing Saito wished to do was to simply cherish the beauty the world, but sadly he must talk of violence. Saito could feel the weight of Jin-sang's stare and would open his eyes to meet the wisdom he needed.

"Avatar" Saito would speak, his voice calm enough to lull a child to sleep, but loud enough to be taken seriously. The weight of his words felt because of the burning heat his eyes would radiate to Jin-Sang. "The world needs an Avatar again, one who is for the people and not for themselves." The wind would pick up again, but not a natural wind. It was caused by the Air Monk, a man who is not supposed to feel anger, but regardless he felt it. After all he was still a human, if not a more peaceful one. Though despite his anger, the blowing of the wind would cause a rather peaceful effect. The Sakura petals that had been knocked down by the wind earlier would lift up slowly from the ground and begin to circle around the two men."I need you to be my voice Jin-sang, the voice of reason. I seek to unite the world, but in order to do that there must be a catalyst. Someone to start the reaction that will bind us together. So far I do not see any other nation striving create lasting peace." Saito would say, his deep calm and cool voice barely rising over the sound of the wind, but just enough so that Jin-sang would hear with clarity. The wind simply there to not permit others without to hear what was spoken should there be anyone else. The wind would cease, causing a deadening quiet to occur. "What do you suggest we do first Avatar?" Saito's eyes would lock on Jin-sang's, measuring them carefully. The sounds of nature starting to fill the void, for the unnatural sound that had silenced them had ceased.

"I understand Monk Saito. The world will never fully be at peace and the voice of reason must be heard throughout the world." Jin-Sang said this with a calm, yet concerned, tone in his voice. "I have met with the other Avatars in the Spirit World. We discussed the condition of the world, and I informed the two younger Avatars that they must learn the four elements as soon as they ever could." Jin-Sang was slightly worried about the necessity of them learning the elements soon. If not then a stronger foe could... well, Jin-Sang did not like to think about what could happen to the young children.

"I think we should start with the Water Tribe. I can be there within a few days and I can speak to the Water Lord." Jin-Sang thought back to the last time he was at one of the poles. He lived in the North Pole for a few years with Master Kanata and his wife. It would be a lovely trip back there and he could catch up with a few old friends and see the leader of the water tribe. By now it has probably changed, but Master Kanata could still be there. He hoped so. He hated losing loved ones, and losing him, even to old age, would be very sad.

"If you need me to go soon, Monk Saito I can. I can possibly leave today if the trip is that urgent. From there I can travel to the Earth Kingdom, then to the Fire Nation and speak with the leaders and speak to them of peace in all Nations."

Saito would listen carefully, his face careful not to give away anything. To some he would appear indifferent and uncaring, but that was not true. It was simply the way Saito managed to deal with so much at a young age. Some people were angry, others sad, but Saito chose to "not care", which was the furthest thing from the truth. The fish within the pond would stir a bit more aggressively, one even managing to plop up out of the pond, sending droplets of water out on to Saito, and perhaps to Jin-sang as well. Saito would look down upon his hands for a moment, noticing the iridescence caused by the sunlight. Within the plethora of colors Saito would see red...a color typically related to fire. A pang would hit his heart as he remembered the nation. It was a place that had not been kind to his family, the pain was brief but it was enough to make up his mind.

"The fire nation....I....must go....hrmm...the Spirit World, I would love to be able to speak to others without having to leave the confines of my home. I would prefer it if I could simply remain here in my gardens and enjoy the peace here. I am afraid though that the peace will not last, as is the nature of things. Jin-sang appears to be worried about something, I wonder what it may be. Regardless..I have more pressing things to ask him...sadly. "

Saito would take the water that was upon his hand and gently wipe it off upon the grass, looking at Jin-sang all the while. "Good, go to the water tribe, and perhaps even the Earth Kingdom, but as for the Fire nation do not worry, for I will go myself." Saito would continue to speak, not giving Jin-sang a chance to respond "The Spirit world? I have heard of this place...can you describe to me the attitude and appearances of the current Avatars? Do you believe them of worthy character?"

Saito would ask, his voice calm, but on the inside he was eager to learn of the outside world. It was a place he had not seen in about a year. Once he was free like the birds, but now his home had become a cage. While peaceful and grand, it was also depressing and acted much like a prison. Sure he was free to go where he pleased, but responsibility often dictated where he must remain, and for the most part it was at this Air Temple.

"Though I enjoy the confines of my garden...It has been a long time since I stretched my legs. I still have my youth, I might as well enjoy it."

Prelude - A world without evil Empty
PostSubject: Re: Prelude - A world without evil   Prelude - A world without evil EmptySun Apr 22, 2012 4:17 pm

Jin-Sang listened to his friend and was kind of surprised by what he had to say. Why would he want to go to the Fire Nation himself? Did he have some sort of plans in the Fire Nation that he wanted to deal with himself? Jin-Sang felt worried about Saito and if something could happen to him or to the nation by him leaving. Jin-Sang decided he would not act worried though and he made sure to keep calm and answer Saito's questions about the other Avatars. "They all showed good potential. They were all different, and two of them were still children. The other was a fully fledged Avatar, like myself. The personalities of them all were very different. One was cocky, another quiet, and the one my age seemed to be very...well...different." Jin-Sang responded with one more quick thing after his last sentence. "Why exactly do you wish to go to the Fire Nation yourself? And it seems a bit dangerous, would you want me to go with you, or stay here to watch over the temple?"

Jin-Sang wondered the possibilities of what could happen if the two most powerful Air Benders left the nation, and what would happen if Saito went to the Fire Nation alone, and did not come back? Jin-Sang also wondered one more thing, "Also, Monk Saito, after this conversation I should be on my way. I will travel to the North Pole and Earth Kingdom in my travels and when i get back, that is when the journey to the Fire Nation should take place.

Prelude - A world without evil Empty
PostSubject: Re: Prelude - A world without evil   Prelude - A world without evil EmptySun Apr 22, 2012 5:57 pm

"I suppose it is only natural that one of the avatars would be cocky, after all power does allow for such things to occur. Though something tells me that it really doesn't have anything to do with the amount of power being an Avatar grants. Someone needs to explain that it isn't about fighting, that it's about bringing peace and balance to the world. Perhaps Jin-Sang can be that person, for I am not an Avatar and he better understands that responsibility than I. Ah Jin-Sang, you don't understand why I wish to go the fire nation, and I'm afraid I cannot tell you the whole truth. I wouldn't want you feel sorry for me, you have more pressing concerns. Though I suppose leaving the Air Temple unguarded would bother you more than worrying about my past. I do see his point, but I really don't have a choice. There are things that need doing and there isn't anyone else to do them."

With many things on his mind, Saito could no longer stand to be seated. Slowly he would rise from his spot upon the grass and would gaze up in to the sky, watching the clouds lazily float past. To be so free was something to be envied by the entire world. It was one of the reason's Saito loved being an Airbender. As one it was possible to be with the clouds without having to rely upon another creature to do so. To go out and about while being your own master. The feeling was so gratifying and could not be replaced by anything else. Nothing having flown throughout the lands was partly another reason Saito felt so restless.
"I find it a bit disheartening that one of the Avatars would act such a way, It is an embarrassment. However I am glad we have you Jin-sang, you are to teach them how to act with discipline and respect." After standing Saito would turn so that his back faced Jin-Sang, his eyes following a small stream that ran throughout the garden. The wind causing his hair and robes to move slightly. He would take a slow intake of cool air as he judged the gardens in a different light, taking this moment to carefully observe every attribute. To perhaps find something he had missed before. To Saito every detail in life was important, nothing could afford to be overlooked or missed.

"I would like to know more about the Avatar's, Jin-Sang's information is limited. That or what I want to know is too specific. Sometimes I have a thirst for knowledge that seems unearthly. But still, these other three are the world's avatars. It would do me good to at least know their names. Though now that I think about it in my attempt to know more about them, I forgot one of the most basic things. How silly.." Having not said a word for what would appear to be a long time, Saito would ask his question about the Avatars, he would also go on to reassure Jin-Sang about the both of them "leaving" the Air Nation and about his motives for wanting to visit the Fire nation.

"I do see your point Jin-Sang, you would prefer it that I remained in the temple to guard it. But let me ask you this. What would it matter if I left? The Air Temples are spread apart from here already. I live here, yes, but if I went to the Fire nation I would be close to another temple. I am not leaving my nation defenseless seeing as my nation is four separate temples. If you really think about it Jin-Sang, by you leaving as well we will be protecting the Air Nation better, by both of us being close to two Air Temples instead of being confined here to one." Saito would pause for a moment to allow for his words to sink in, giving Jin-Sang ample time to weigh and judge for himself, at this moment Saito would turn once more to face the man. "I want to go to the Fire Nation because us separating is more efficient, like I stated before. Plus we lack others here who can do this, and my word needs to be spread. Who better to share what I have to say than myself? Plus, the Firenation is where I was born, I have interest in paying respects to my parents." Saito would say these words, his voice and gaze totally different from before. The mentioning of his parents had brought out his mother's firebending pride that had been transferred over by genetics. Paying respects to his parents was something he needed to do, it would go against everything he was to not be respectful. His eyes fiery with a passion that few had seen. Saito was intent upon going whether Jin-Sang liked it or not, the reasoning was simply a courtesy because Jin-Sang was Saito's closest friend. Saito would then wait for Jin-Sang's responses before deciding on anything further.

"I hate to be so rude my friend, but this is something I must do regardless of how you feel, surely you can understand."

Jin-Sang felt as though his friend was being a little rude, but he must listen to him. He has reason Jin-Sang could never hope to understand. After all, he was the leader of the Air Temples, he must obey his orders. "I understand Monk Saito. Your business, is your business. I will try and meet up with the young Avatar who is disrespectful. I shall train him in the art of respect and obedience to ones elders." Jin-Sang thought about training the young boy. He would treat him like his master treated him. Jin-Sang chuckled slightly to himself.

"I understand that you wish to go to the Fire Nation alone. Us traveling to the other Air Temples with ease is quite simple after all. I shall pack today, Monk Saito. I suggest you do so as well. It is a long way to the Fire Nation. And it is a long way to the North Pole. I must pack soon, friend."

Jin-Sang began to stand up and start to walk away from his friend Saito. "I hope you enjoy your time in the Fire Nation and give my respects to the Fire Lord. I will see you again in the coming weeks, Monk Saito." Jin-Sang bowed in front of Saito, facing him. He remained Eye contact with him and after doing so, Jin-Sang made his way out of the Meditation Gardens. He passed all of the pretty flowers and other life growing here. It was not long until he made his way out of the gardens and back to the tower where his room was. When he arrived, he would pack a bag preparing for his journey into the Earth Kingdom.

Saito would pause for a moment as he watched Jin-Sang exit the garden. He was slightly annoyed at himself for allowing Jin-Sang to leave without having said something to make up for his brief attitude. Saito would simply shrug the matter off until later, needing his mind for what was to come. Saito was glad that his friend had understood despite his reservations. It meant a lot to Saito, but now they would probably not see one another for a very long time. It was time to go to the fire nation, there wasn't much to pack because Saito had already done so, he had made up his mind a very long time ago. With a steely resolve he would exit the meditaiton gardens and prepare himself for the journey ahead.

"Goodbye my friend." Saito would think about Jin-Sang as his walked in the opposite direction.
