Looks: Mei Ling, a child standing at four feet three-inch and weighing seventy-two pounds, retains the appearance of an eleven-year-old girl. She has a slender build that is quite agile and fast, but lacks strength. Her body has been conditioned for better endurance and reflexes, whilst being limber, in order to make up for her poor strength.
Mei Ling has a heart-shaped face that possess thinly arched eyebrows, big and wide eyes, pouty lips, and a small nose. Her lips are set into a smile most of the time, the only exceptions being during combat or serious situations. During combat and important or serious situations, Mei Ling’s face has a nonchalant expression. When sad, she still smiles, but the smile isn’t sincere and only mask her true emotions.
Mei Ling’s eyes are a soft purple color, twinkling with exhilaration and anticipation. Her eyes resemble purple gemstones, naturally sparkly and bright though they do darken when she is upset. These same eyes brighten, but not noticeable, when she is entertained.
Mei Ling’s black hair is long, very long, long enough to reach down to the floor and trail behind. This is because she has never cut it before and is not planning on cutting it anytime soon. Besides being long, her long bangs frame her face and is able to cover her eyes if she wanted to do so.
Mei Ling wears a sleeveless red shirt, that is low cut in the back and shows off her midriff. A short, open-front, red skirt with black shorts underneath. A pair of blank sandals are worn on her feet, finishing her entire appearance.
Personality: Due to living a life of islolation, Mei Ling is very naïve when it comes to the outside world, most of her knowledge gathered from books and family, mother and brother to be specific. But the knowledge that she has attained about the things outside of her home has helped her in the outside world, though she still has much to learn. Her views on the world is neither optimistic, though it could be seen as such, nor pessimist. Basically, Mei Ling doesn’t see the world in black or white, instead it’s all grey. Everything is placed into the grey area, never allowed to be sorted into black or white lest she begins to become a optimistic person or a pessimist. Even good and evil has been chucked into the grey box; along with right and wrong, partly because she is unable to discern between the two concepts.
Mei Ling is a very calm and collected individual, one not quick to anger nor sadness. She’s actually rather to calm for someone of her age, especially when witnessing death. This is due to the fact that Mei Ling lacks any form of empathy and sympathy, which explains her calm demeanor when faced with the grief of others. The child also lacks a conscience, which is also why the concept of right and wrong are hard for her to understand.
Mei Ling is very bubbly and honest to the point of being to brutal or blunt, not one to spare the feelings of others. Her shrewd nature doesn’t allow her to do anything without a logical reason, whether it be saving the life of a stranger or helping out. Mei Ling is also very intelligent, displaying it in her manner of speaking and her actions.

Description: A highly mobile form of Fire Bending, it has it's roots in the fluid motions of water bending and often contradicts the swift powerful strikes of fire bending. The user of this move will begin by creating their flames and then proceed to dance around with them. The manipulated flames can be used for further to increase the speed, accuracy or suddenness of the technique. The manipulated flames can also be used for defense by deflecting other techniques to the side with the flames. Maintaining this technique for long periods of time takes extreme skill, endurance, and patience and is often considered a significant achievement if possible to maintain over ten minutes.

Description: Jia is clearly much taller than Mei Ling, standing seven feet four-inches.
Special Abilities: Jia is a fast runner, reaching speeds of 60 MPH. The wolf also has keen sense of smell, and can be used, but rarely, for battles; fighting with its claws and teeth.
Origin: Mei Ling had found the rare nine-tailed wolf during one of her adventures around the forest that surrounded her house. It was a pup that had been either abandon by its mother or ran away. Mei Ling felt sorry for the poor creature and adopted it into her family, naming the wolf Jia.

History and RP Sample:History: Mei Ling was born the youngest of the Jiang family, having two older brothers and three older sisters. She would spend most of her life in the Jiang’s secluded family home, her parents worried that people would try to kidnap their daughter if they were to find out that she is the Fire Avatar.
Mei Ling’s only playmates were faternal twins Ying and Yang, but they would soon leave her to explore the world outside of their home. She never got to know her father, having died a year after her birth through unknown circumstances. Thus, Mei Ling was left with her mother, Wen Song, but she was alright with that. Her eldest brother, Gen Fang, would come back to teach her firebending.
Mei Ling’s training in the arts of firebending began when she was of age six, her mother deeming it time for the Fire Avatar to begin learning how to bend the elements. Wen Song encouraged her daughter to do well during her training. Mei Ling had to master fire-bending in order to leave the house, in order to go out to master the other elements. Mastery wasn't achieved until she turned eleven of age. She was than released to travel the world to learn the other elements.
Mei Ling only had basic knowledge of the other three elements, able to bend them but couldn’t put them to much use. It’s one of the reasons why she travels, looking for teachers that can help her master the other elements.
