Name: Twirling Second Wind
Rank: Novice
Element: Air
Range:
- Six Meters Distance
- Three Meters Gust Height
- One Meter Gust Width
Description:A single step forward is taken in this move. However instead of stepping, the user spins on their front foot, twirling around anything to their immediate side and stepping forward with the back foot at the end of the 360 spin and step. As the foot lands the first hand (Relative to whichever foot landed, left or right) sweeps the fan through the air, launching a broad sweeping gust forwards. This gust hits hard enough to push most heavy objects and people over but not backwards.
A second sweep is then launched from the backwards hand, launching another second wind in the same direction, however this time the force of the attack comes from the turn of the waste as well as the arm, making the second strike the heavier hitting of the two, hitting with enough force to launch a large earthbender off their feet and back several meters.
The initial stepping move can be employed in avoid and evade tactics as the movement moves the artist a full bodies width to the side before moving back to position again, and may also be performed in reverse to also move out of the way of projectiles while still moving forwards or backwards in the end.
Designed to accomplish three objectives: dodge a projectile, knock the opponent into the air and then launch them backwards with as little movement as possible this technique is the perfect example of a deadly basic not to be ignored.____________________________________________
Name:Butterfly Leap
Rank:Novice
Element:Air
Range:
- Fifteen Meters Upwards
- [Maximum] Ten Meters in any Direction
Description:Onwards and upwards. With outstretched arms and bent knees both fans are swept completely downwards towards the ground launching the artist upwards aided by the jump of the user. Angling the fans slightly allows the user the same technique but with directional force, allowing them to travel around the areas higher areas. Caution is advised as the user will fall and land quickly and with force, should not be practised around civilians or cabbage stands.
The out of reach is always in the grasp of the diligent artist. The mastery of this technique allows ever higher travels and obeys our most important combat strategy, avoid and evade.____________________________________________
Name:Tigermoth Landing
Rank:Novice
Element:Air
Range:
- Ten Meter Radius
- Half a Meter Height
Description:Each fan must be held vertically, and the body must do a full spin. Starting the technique the knees must bend to their fullest extent and arms must begin motion waving the fans. Then the waist and one leg must leave the ground and twist doing a full spin. Spinning both fans around the body launching a gust of wind in all directions, forceful enough to knock down most heavier creatures.
Though most effective after the previous technique this technique can also be performed while standing by bending the knees. The spinning arm movements also make it effective leg sweep while not armed with fans.
The underside of opponents is the most important if one wishes to disable an enemy without crippling them. One who has no legs has no movement allowing for a quick escape. Disabling surrounding threats temporarily will allow any artist the control of the battlefield.____________________________________________
