The Journey So Far

Book One :: Earth (土)

:: Fire Lord Huo ::

Being only the second week of carrying his Avatar title, Raizo has mastered not only Fire Bending but Lightning aswell. Being summoned by the Fire Lord, he presents his skills, showing off infront of the man and hoping for his ecstatic approval. The three Fire Sages watch on with less than satisfied expressions..

:: Troublesome Girl. Troublesome Encounter. ::

Avatar Raizo completes his Fire Bending training under his three masters. Heading to the lower section of the sacred island, he has an awkward meeting with a Bounty Hunter that wishes to meet his Dragon. After a few seconds of a short scuffle, the two finally settle down and tolerate each other's presence. Raizo gives a short explanation of the mission given to him and the Bounty Hunter, by the name of Yoko, decides to join him on his journey to become a full fledged Avatar. How he feels about this currently..is complete indifference.

:: Agni Kai ::

Skipping out on his training to go show off infront of the masses, Avatar Raizo finds himself participating in an Agni Kai. His opponent, being a mysterious young man, does nothing to Raizo's cocky personality. Within the first few seconds of the first match, the opponent is blown out of the arena by Raizo's fire bending. To impress the crowd even more, he accepts a rematch and plans to only use Earth Bending. Show boating like usual, the match begins with Raizo attempting to strike his opponent right off the back. It continues this way for some time before the young Avatar exclaims "Now I'm going to show you some pro air bending!" Not yet being trained in Air Bending, he goes to initiate the attack, which fails, and leaves him open for a counter. The mysterious opponent takes advantage of this small opening and unleashes a series of jabs into Raizo's arm. Before the young Avatar knew it..his arm was limp..and his bending was cut off. His opponent had forced him into a corner, and with no way out he'd need to think of something fast. In an act of desperation, he'd lure the mysterious male to the edge of the ring before flipping the earth up like a spatula and sending them both flying. His opponent would crash into the waters below, while the Avatar would break his deal and firebend to stay afloat..The match would be seen as a draw, as both opponents had fallen out the ring..And little did Raizo know, this mysterious male he had just fought would later be assigned to guard him on his journey to become a full fledged Avatar. Another pain to add to the list..

:: Meeting of the Avatar ::

:: Embarking on the Journey ::

With the team assembled, Avatar Raizo introduces the others to his dragon, Wafu, before embarking on the journey to make himself a full fledged Avatar. His first meeting with the team could have went much better than it did, and the young Raizo could have been abit more polite. However, for some reason he doesn't feel too keen having them around. This could be for fear of them attempting to get him to actually train and not enjoy the benefits of Freedom.

:: Bathing in Mud ::

The Team begins their journey heading towards the Earth Kingdom first. With Raizo in charge of the map, he decides to take a slight detour, making the decision to head to a mud bath on the way. Lying and saying his dragon, Wafu, needed to rest, Raizo would convince the team to follow him to his first vacation spot. After a series of unfortunate events, Raizo makes a bad decision that causes the team to split up and head off on their separate ways. It doesn't seem to phase the boy, as he continues on his journey towards the Earth Rumble Arena just to partake in a Tournament.

:: Adorable Delight ::

Separating from the group, Raizo comes across an innocent little merchant. As he approaches the girl, her timid side is shown which gets his attention. Attempting to show off and get a new fan, the Avatar offers food to the girl who shyly accepts. Giving her a piggy back ride of a life time, the two would head back towards the camp. Little did the team know, the Avatar was bringing back a little girl, named Riri, who was more mysterious than them all. Raizo was curious of her origin..but for the time being, he'd just enjoy having a potential fangirl as part of the team.

:: First Lesson in Air Bending ::

Taking a break in their journey, Raizo and Riri stop by a lake for some bonding time. Swallowing his pride, the Avatar asks the little girl to show him some moves with airbending, which she does..or atleast tries to do. After numerous trials and errors, Riri shows Raizo the secret to learning airbending basics. Little did he know, it was a simple fan. The same type of fan used by his previous lives, which made him wonder if his previous incarnation had trouble airbending aswell. With that thought process running through his head, it took the crushing weight off Raizo's shoulders that held back his airbending before..and as time went on, the boy would finally unleash his first gust of air, as an airbender. With his stance down and basics learned, it only made the young Avatar ecstatic to learn more..However, Riri was only a beginner herself. He'd need to find a real air bending master if he hoped to master the element anytime soon..

:: The Masked Bender ::

Joining the Earth Rumble Tournament under the guise of "The Masked Bender" Raizo would fight through the competition to win the money prize just to buy Riri a full course meal. Of course, he got to show off during the competition, which he loved aswell. As the battles went on, Raizo would make it to the last round where he'd be faced against an older man with bending that far surpassed his own. Forcing the Avatar into a corner, the Old Man continued his violent attacks until Raizo finally snapped and fire bended to take the victory. Not being proud of his lack of skill, he'd head off the arena and ignore the various cheering..Instead, he promised himself he'd become a better Avatar, and surpass the man before him. Before he could leave, he'd run into a beautiful young woman, a slightly cocky young man, and his adorable Riri. All he wanted was the winnings..Oh how it was turning into a troublesome night..
